Get Help Finding a Job

The Ticket to Work Program can connect you with employment-related services, such as training, transportation, and vocational rehabilitation. If you are 18 – 64 years old and get Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) based on your disability, you automatically qualify for Ticket services. To get started, contact a Ticket to Work Employment Network (EN) or the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency (GVRA).

The Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency (GVRA) can help you prepare for and find work. And if you are blind or have low vision, or are deaf or hard of hearing, you can get specialized GVRA sensory services. GVRA also offers Supported Employment (SE) for people with significant disabilities. To apply for any GVRA services use the GVRA online referral form.

The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) lists resources for job seekers with disabilities and tips for choosing the right career and conducting an effective job search.

Team Georgia Careers offers a searchable list of all job openings with the State of Georgia.

The Workforce Recruitment Program helps connect college students and recent graduates with disabilities with federal and private-sector jobs.

The Administration for Community Living lists Employment Resources for People with Disabilities and Their Families.

USAJOBS is the federal government’s official job site. It lists resources for jobseekers with disabilities and information on federal employment for people with disabilities.

CareerCircle.com is a national job search website with information for jobseekers with disabilities.

AbilityJOBS is a national website for jobseekers with disabilities, where you can post your resume and search for jobs for free.

Ticket to Work

Social Security’s Ticket to Work Program helps people with disabilities who get Social Security benefits re-enter the workforce and become more independent. The Ticket to Work Program offers free access to employment-related services, such as training, transportation, and vocational rehabilitation. You can call the Ticket to Work Help Line at 1-866-968-7842 or 1-866-833-2967 (TTY).

The Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency (GVRA) helps people with physical and mental disabilities prepare for and find work. GVRA can help you get the training or other services that you need to return to work, enter a new line of work, keep working, or get a job for the first time. Services are carefully chosen to match your personal needs, and your GVRA counselor will work with you to decide which GVRA services are best for you.
